Liberty Rugby Annual Auction
Saturday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m.
Rockin’ Horse Dance Barn in Renton
The auction is one of Liberty Rugby’s most important fundraisers. It helps us keep registration affordable, provide scholarships, support our teams, and make rugby accessible to more young athletes.

Rugby in Our Community
Support Seattle Slam Wheelchair Rugby
Seattle Slam is preparing for its annual Slam on the Sound wheelchair rugby tournament, happening October 2–4 at the Renton Community Center.
The team is seeking donations to help provide food and drinks throughout the tournament, including:
- Individual bags of chips
- Granola and protein bars
- Bulk trail mix and gummy bears
- Cases of water, Gatorade, and chocolate milk
- Bake-sale items
Donations may be dropped off during Seattle Slam’s practice on September 30 from 5:00–8:00 p.m. at:
Southwest Neighborhood Service Center

Planning for the Year Ahead
We recently held a board planning meeting, with volunteers, coaches, and representatives from Valley Kangaroos joining us to help shape the year ahead. We’re grateful to everyone who contributed their time and ideas.
Our primary areas of focus are:
- Recruitment: Introduce more young athletes to rugby through free academies and community partnerships.
- Communication: Make information easier to find through SportsYou, our website, and regular newsletters.
- Club connection: Create more opportunities for players, families, coaches, alumni, and volunteers to connect.
- Financial stability: Develop a clear annual budget, strengthen fundraising, and better understand and structure the club’s endowment.
- Player pathways: Strengthen our relationship with Valley Kangaroos and help players see opportunities to continue playing rugby as they grow.
SportsYou Update
Liberty Rugby is transitioning from TeamSnap to SportsYou. We will no longer use TeamSnap for team communication.
SportsYou will be our primary tool for current-season schedules, event reminders, coach updates, and other time-sensitive information. Families will receive an access code for their player’s team when they register.
Our website and newsletter will continue to provide broader club and community updates. Watch for more sportsYou information as each team gets started.
