After serving as Liberty Rugby Club President, Sara Dumlao has stepped down from her role. We want to take a moment to recognize and thank her for everything she has given to our club.

Sara is truly one of a kind. She leads with genuineness, honesty, and an enormous heart. Her commitment to our players and families has always aligned so naturally with Liberty’s mission of making rugby accessible to every child.

Sara helped guide Liberty through some challenging transitions, bringing both warmth and a willingness to have honest, direct conversations when they were needed. That’s a rare combination, and one we’ve appreciated more than she probably knows.

We will miss the warmth, compassion, and authenticity she brought to her leadership. Sara has given countless hours to this club, and her impact will be felt for years to come.

Thank you, Sara, for everything you’ve done for our players, families, coaches, and community. We hope stepping away from the presidency doesn’t mean stepping away from Liberty. We look forward to continuing to work alongside you and seeing you on the sidelines.

As Sara transitions out of her role as president, she wanted to share a few words with the Liberty community.

Dear Liberty Rugby Community,

Liberty Rugby is more than a rugby club, it is a community built on teamwork, respect, discipline, and a shared commitment to developing young people both on and off the pitch.

I want to express my sincere appreciation and support for our Board of Directors, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and families. As a volunteer-led organization, the success of our club depends on the countless hours these individuals dedicate behind the scenes to create opportunities for our athletes.

As we look ahead, I encourage our community to continue standing behind the Board and supporting the important work ahead. Growing our youth program, strengthening community partnerships and sponsorships, and maintaining the long-term sustainability of the club are goals we can only achieve together.
